William Horsley appointed as AEJ Media Freedom Representative |

Bratislava,
23 June 2007 The AEJ General Assembly in Oviedo
(October 2006) agreed unanimously to start the flagship project, the AEJ
Media Freedom Survey. This was a proposal by the President of the UK section,
William Horsley. In the meantime, William has done a tremendous job setting
the project up. Presentation of the survey is
planned in the afternoon of the AEJ Congress in Dublin on 10 November.
Miklós Haraszti, OSCE Freedom of Media Representative, will be the special guest. It will be the first survey of its kind
using the information and experience of all the AEJ’s national sections. The
survey will be published in November on AEJ websites. The AEJ Executive Committee in
Bratislava on 23 June appointed William as AEJ Media Freedom Representative, with
power under article 18 of the AEJ Statutes to represent the AEJ in its
relations with other organisations. See Survey
