Application form

Journalists, writers and specialists in European affairs can join the Association of European Journalists for an annual fee of £40. Membership for journalists under the age of 25 costs £10.

The AEJ supports press freedom and fact-based reporting and commentary that is free of party-political, religious, commercial or other bias.

Those attending our lunchtime briefings have the chance to put questions about the big issues of the day to our guests, who include politicians, diplomats, senior officials and experts from Britain and across Europe. For a list of our guests, please see our Events page.

Membership of the AEJ is not a condition of access to the briefings or other meetings. By joining you express acceptance of our aims and enjoy the benefits of the AEJ network. After you attend a few of our briefings we hope you consider applying to become a member.

By joining you are also consenting to receive information emails about events from the AEJ-UK and to the AEJ-UK privacy policy which is available on the AEJ website. We use your email only to send you details of our events and occasional information about other events of possible interest. And we do not share any of your information with any third party.

About the AEJ
The AEJ is an independent network of journalists, writers and specialists active across Europe, a 
Europe-wide network of national sections with the goal of advancing knowledge and debate on European affairs and upholding media freedom. In the UK we host regular meetings for journalists providing a forum for open-minded exchanges with public figures of all backgrounds to promote informed debate on European and international affairs. Our lunchtime meetings are open to bona fide journalists and visiting members of other AEJ sections; an entry fee must be paid to cover the costs of food and drink and pre-registration is essential.
